"Becoming a truly digital enterprise isn’t simply about improving our products or services – it’s about redefining how the world thinks about asset intelligence by tapping the unique combination of people, technology and experience."

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) today announced several appointments within its Global Technology Services group to help integrate solutions and architecture in the company-wide move towards digitization.

“Innovation and tech-driven transformation is underwritten by our investment in top talent,” said Antoine Shagoury, chief information officer, State Street. “Becoming a truly digital enterprise isn’t simply about improving our products or services – it’s about redefining how the world thinks about asset intelligence by tapping the unique combination of people, technology and experience.”

Ravi Arimilli, who is currently listed among the top 20 patent holders in the US with more than 500 patents to his name, has been appointed senior vice president, head of Technology Research. In this newly-created role, Arimilli will report to Shagoury and will be responsible for defining and implementing State Street’s technology research agenda, identifying viable disruptive technologies and creating new partnerships across the industry and academia to further research efforts.

Arimilli comes to State Street from IBM, where he was an IBM Fellow and the chief architect for analytics, big data and blockchain platforms. He has been a pioneer in the IT industry due to his research and execution of technology-driven paradigm shifts.

Dr. Pinar Emirdag has joined State Street as senior vice president, head of Digital Product Development and Innovation, reporting directly to Shagoury. She will serve as the business solutions lead for digital products, working with other teams throughout State Street to roadmap, and ultimately, implement, new technologies. Emirdag is based in London and will partner with Stan Drasky, regional chief information officer for EMEA, to lead and control strategy and execution of the firm's digital assets initiatives in that region.

State Street also announced the appointment of Kirk Wylie as senior vice president and principal risk architect, reporting to Chief Technology Architect Moiz Kohari globally, and regionally to Drasky. Wylie will provide enterprise-wide guidance on all aspects of risk calculations for State Street’s businesses. He will be responsible for technologies employed to standardize risk calculations, hardware acceleration and software deployments appropriate for on-demand, real-time risk analytics. Wylie was the founder of Open Gamma, a derivatives risk software startup launched in 2009, bringing Open Source market risk software to markets, and developing proprietary offerings. Wylie will also be based in London.
