"With more than 150 entries submitted this year, the awards continue to recognize great journalism and acknowledge the vital role that the press plays in providing information and a platform for education and debate."

London, 16 November, 2017 – State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), announced today the winners of its 16th annual State Street UK Institutional Press Awards in recognition of outstanding performance in institutional financial services reporting.

Launched in 2002, the State Street UK Institutional Press Awards was the first of its kind. Building on the success of previous years, the 2017 awards honour the contributions of journalists covering institutional investment, pensions, and investor services and technology themes in the past year.

Entries were judged by an independent panel of industry professionals led by Julian Marr, editor of Professional Adviser and Padraig Floyd, a veteran financial journalist. The two lead judges were supported by respected figures from the European financial services industry including Malcolm McLean, OBE, from Barnett Waddingham; CNBC Anchor, Karen Tso; Lindsay Tomlinson, KPMG public interest committee member; and freelance journalists Gill Wadsworth and Lynn Strongin Dodds.

The journalists were honoured at a luncheon in London hosted by Rajen Shah, executive vice president and head of Global Markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “We congratulate all shortlisted journalists and winners,” said Shah. “With more than 150 entries submitted this year, the awards continue to recognize great journalism and acknowledge the vital role that the press plays in providing information and a platform for education and debate.”
