State Street 2023 Asia Pacific Institutional Press Awards Open for Entries

06/20/2023

Honoring contributions of journalists in English and Chinese categories covering pensions, investment, alternatives, ESG and technology topics over the past year.

HONG KONG, June 20, 2023 -- State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) announced today the call for entries for its 2023 Asia Pacific Institutional Press Awards which aims to recognize outstanding performance in institutional financial services reporting across publications in the Asia Pacific region.

Returning after an interval stemming from the global pandemic, the Awards were introduced into Asia in 2012, leveraging the success of the State Street UK Institutional Press Awards that started in 2002. The 2023 Awards mark the eighth iteration in the region and twenty-second globally recognizing outstanding efforts by journalists in producing in-depth features and daily news across the financial services sector.

The Awards are open to journalists, including freelancers, from online, wire, trade, and daily newspaper and magazine publications that are based or have a bureau in Asia Pacific, including but not limited to Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, mainland China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

An independent judging panel of respected figures from the investment, financial services and journalism industries will choose the winner in each category. The results will be announced at the Awards ceremony in Hong Kong in November.

With more than 30 years’ experience as a journalist in the region, William Mellor will again be the lead judge for the State Street 2023 Institutional Press Awards Asia Pacific. He said, “The return of these press awards after the pandemic is really good news. Past entries showcased the high - and rising - quality of journalism in the region and the increasingly wide range of backgrounds and experience of the entrants. This year, I am sure that trend will continue.”

To submit an entry, please complete the entry form, which can be found on the State Street APAC Institutional Press Awards website, and submit one article published over the last 12 months (August 1, 2022 – July 31, 2023) by Thursday, August 31, 2023. A separate entry should be submitted for each category entered.

For the English language awards, articles should be submitted in English. Articles originally published in other languages must be translated into English of a standard best reflecting the original article. For the Chinese language awards, only articles in Chinese are accepted. The same article cannot be submitted in multiple categories or languages.
